GREAT PIPE
I have 1 Patriot, 1 Great Dane Spool & 3 Genteman because I smoke the BEEGEEZES out of them. Perfect size bowl, great looking & they seem to smoke a lil nicer than the other MMCCP i have. I also like the Danish Bent bit w/The Gentleman but never use a filter. Scottys Butternut Burley, A Country Gentleman & a Glass of Crown Royal Black=HEAVEN!! |

Scott here. You've found one of my favorite pipes!
As I mentioned in the description for the Gentleman pipe that perhaps it's not fair to show favoritism. Add to that the ethics of posting a review on my own site! But then I remembered two things: I don't make the pipes, so to that degree my opinion is fair game; and two, what's the point in owning my own site if I can't voice my opinion. So here it is.
I love the Gentleman pipe. It's got the look of a briar and is just the right size bowl (chamber) for my 30 minute commute home from work. On the down side it does not have a hardwood bottom, so theoretically is will burn-out sooner than one with it, but that said I've never had one burn through.
Because of the larger, barrel-shape of the bowl I find that it doesn't get hot like some of the smaller pipes. This would vary with smoking habits, but I tend smoke fairly fast, so the Legend and the Washington-sized pipes get a bit too hot for my taste, and I'm not a big fan of tongue bite. If you can't decide if this is the right pipe for you, check-out the Diplomat or the General which are two others that I fully endorse. Scott |

Gentleman Pipe Offers a Great Smoke
Having been smoking from a general pipe, I was cautious to try out a gentleman pipe. The switch was not in vain and the gentleman pipe is my new favorite. It has a smaller bowl than the general but the longer stem is comfortable to hold and the dark polished bowl is easier on the eyes than the non-dark bowls.
Overall a great pipe! |
