New Missouri Meerschaum Corn Cob Pipe
GENERAL ('Neked' Unfinished)
Choice Of Bent Or Straight Stem

The Missouri Meerschaum Company listened to their customers who wanted the classic style of the famous MacArthur pipe, but in a size that's a bit more practical and with the ability to use a filter. This version of the “General” features a HUGE 'neked' unfinished bowl and a bent filtered stem and bit. The large bowl features a genuine hardwood bottom to prevent premature burn-through!

The filtered stem of your new General pipe comes ready to go with only one Medico filter, so you might consider adding a pack or two of our inexpensive filters to your order.

thanks allot Scott :D
I ordered this General pipe cuz I wanted something big that would give me a long relaxing smoke. I was thinking about the mac-Arthur pipe but decided I didn't want to chain myself to a chair for 3 and a half hours lol. I love the general its the perfact size I was looking for. and im very pleased with the order I asked if they could send me a reddish cob and got a beauty shipped quick with no problems :) thank you Scott I plan to do business with ya again soon!

Damn good.
This is a VERY late review, but I think it should be worth noting, I love this pipe. AND YOU WILL TOO! Yes, it's big. The bigger the better. It's reliable. Sturdy. A beauty to look at. You get one, you won't need another, but you'll want more.

Great pipe with some manufacturing issues.
This is my second cob (started with Washington from a local Rx store). From bowl one this pipe smokes cool and dry, the danish bit is a tad thicker if you're a 'clencher', but certainly more solid than the standard plastic bits. On the build side the hardwood plug was drilled in from an off angle resulting in an undercut within the bowl (I'm guessing they were trying to follow the natural curve of the core), this could be a problem if smoked to the bottom enough times, but the bowl is large enough that I will never need or want to do that. After the fifth bowl the birch stem pulled out during cleaning due to a lack of glue joining it to the cob, this was easily repaired with a non-toxic wood glue however and has been great ever since. If you're looking for a longer smoke I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cob even with it's issues. Shipping from Aristocob was fast and you can't beat the price.

Epic!
I titled this review "epic" because that's what one of my friends said when he saw me smoking it. This is just a beautiful pipe. I really can't get over how nice they made a corncob pipe look! I took it to my local smoking lounge and everybody there was very impressed. It smokes really well all the way down, and it does have a BIG bowl. The draw is effortless and the smoke is cool compared to most of my briars. I highly recommend this pipe, you have to have one in your collection. It really is just epic!

Long smoke.
This puppy has got a bowl on her! Pipe has a decent overall cosmetic finish. I fill the bowl about a third or half and it is right for me. Pipe stem protruding into bowl makes first few smokes burn hot and woody... after that it is fine. Bit on this one seems a little loose and angle of the bored hole for stem does not seem sharp enough- making the bowl slanted away from me and harder to light/tamp. I will swap out a straight bit to lessen the angle. For $9.00, well worth it. Someday I plan on buying the "Freehand" and will have higher expectations.
